Waiting...

About a month and a half ago, I ordered a necklace for my sister-in-law Jenn for her birthday.  I know, kind of late considering it was at the end of June!  I had good reasons. First, it was going to have "haylie" written on it, and I wanted to make sure that was going to be Haylie's name {I've known and heard of quite a few people who name their baby one thing while in-utero, then when baby comes decides that name does not suit baby}.  Second, the person I was ordering this handmade piece from would be including a stone to represent the month the baby was born in.  Jenn was due early July, but had so many false labors that I didn't want to order it too early and have the wrong month represented.  Third, and most importantly {although they're all pretty important!}, I wanted to get Haylie's birth date stamped on the back, which I wouldn't know until she was born.  Obviously.  So, I waited until after... then waited until we got settled into our house... then waited... and waited... and finally just ordered it in September!  And now I'm waiting again.  It seems the United States Post Office doesn't really like my address.  I've yet to have this problem with any of the other packages I've had delivered here in the five-months-minus-two-days that we've lived here {yes, we still get junk mail for the previous owners}.  The creator of the lovely piece mailed it to me, then I realized the zip code on my Etsy profile was my old one!  D'oh!  So I contacted her to let her know, and could she please check with the post office to make sure its getting here?  She did, and they said it looked like it was going slow, but nothing was wrong.  And within days of her hearing that, it was at her house.  With not one thing written on the box.  No "return to sender" or "address invalid" or anything!  Just showed up at her house like it had been shipped to her instead of me.  And, to top it all off, it did have the correct zip code on it!  So, she mailed it out again midweek last week, and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival.  I was going to wait until it came and post a picture on here of the finished product, but I'll let you guys in on what it is {and I'll post pictures whenever it happens to arrive!}:

I just love this little pendant, don't you?  And I loved the idea of having it personalized for Jenn to commemorate her birthday this year and the birth of her firstborn, you know?  Hopefully I'll be getting her necklace in the next few days, and I can share the pictures with you then!
